The world number one Serena Williams returns to her knee injury in early May on the WTA Tour back. “She has requested a wildcard and will receive it” informed the organizers of the Italian Open in Rome (with 2 to 8 May) on Tuesday.

The American had a break since her victory at the Australian Open in January. The tournament in Rome, they will use as preparation for the French Open in Paris.
