Swimming World Cup – Lurz Wins His Third Success in Series
His winning streak continued double world champion Thomas Lurz in the open water marathon swimming World Cup in Copenhagen. Now he is leading in the overall standings.

Double world champion Thomas Lurz celebrated in the open water marathon swimming World Cup success in his third series. In Copenhagen, the 29-year-old has won more than 10 kilometers in 1:57:40 hours and took over after his victories in Varna and Annecy in mid-August, the World Cup overall lead.
Behind Lurz occupied the Bulgarian Petar Stoychev (1:57:43) and the Russian Sergai Bolshakov (1:57:44), the other places. For Lurz, it was with his fourth participation in the Marathon World Cup is already the fourth victory.
In the women won the Brazilian Poliana Okimoto in 2: 05:17 hours. A 25-km world champion Angela Maurer came in third in 2:05:30 as the target.
